Spring Volleyball League

The Spring Volleyball League is for all skill levels for boys and girls, ages 11 - 15 (essentially grades 5th - 9th) with co-ed divisions. This League will prove to be an excellent way to introduce players to the sport of volleyball and hone existing skills for those with experience, too.  The environment will be one of encouragement and fun!

In addition to learning skills in a positive atmosphere, a focus on teaching life-skills and virtues to the participants will also be included.  We believe sports offer a tremendous and natural way to connect with youth and provide an opportunity to teach skills and build positive character traits both on and off the court.

League Details:

Ages 11 - 15 with co-ed divisions (essentially 5th - 9th grades yet see the Registration & Division Info section below for specific age-range criteria)

All registered players are required to attend one of the Mandatory Skills Days, scheduled for Friday, March 10 and Saturday, March 11 (players are assigned a day/time).

Players will be notified prior to Skills Day of their night and time-slot for when to arrive for their skill assessment. These assessments aid in creating as equal as possible teams; they are not try-outs but do remain mandatory for all players to attend.

Teams will practice one weeknight. Practices will be on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays (if needed), and once a team is assigned a practice night, it will remain consistent throughout the season. Practice start times typically range from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Practices are 75 minutes in length each week.

Games will be on Friday nights and Saturday afternoons, if needed.  Game schedules will be released the first week of practices. Game-times typically range from 5:45 p.m. to 7:45 p.m. on Friday evenings and from 12 pm to 2pm on Saturdays; however, the official schedule is released once the league is formed. Games are about an hour in length each week.

Cost is $ 85 / player. (Register by early February 8, and receive a $10 early-bird discount off the standard registration cost).

Uniform shirts will be provided.  Participants must wear knee pads and approved shorts (knee pads and shorts not provided).

Location for games and practices is Crestwood Church, 1200 Charter Colony Parkway, in Midlothian.

Parents, our Sports Leagues are powered mostly by volunteers.

We do need Coaches, Referees & Line Judges, Scorekeepers, and Team Parents for our Spring Volleyball League!

Please consider joining us, and yes, we do train you!  You can sign up to volunteer when you register your child.
